The Club is run entirely on a voluntary basis by parents/guardians/swimmers/coaches,
without whose participation the Club would not exist. As children move on in
life and leave the Club, the pool of such volunteers diminishes, so there is
always plenty of opportunities for you to be involved. The following table gives
details of Club activities and an indication of experience and time commitment
required:
Please note that it is a requirement of the Scottish Amateur Swimming Association (SASA) that all new volunteers become members of SASA (membership fees will be met by the Club) and undergo vetting through Disclosure Scotland. Further details are available from the Club Child Protection Officer, Stuart Anderson. The Club is becoming critically short of volunteers, to the point that expanding Club activities is difficult and participation in galas may be curtailed in the near future. Please consider giving some of your time to the Club, even just a few hours per month. I’m sure you will find it an enjoyable experience. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Karen Neill or any of the Committee Members.
